Corporate Events & Team Days in Salzburg: Formats, Prices and How to Book

A corporate day in Salzburg works when it has a clear shape: one place, one story, good food, no logistics for the organiser. Be Special Tours has run private tours from Salzburg for fifteen years with our own guides and drivers. This page explains the formats companies actually book with us — team outings, client entertainment, Christmas parties and incentive days — what they cost, and how the booking works. For a quote, use the corporate events page or write to office@bespecialtours.com.

Why companies choose Salzburg for a team day

  • Everything is close. The Old Town, the lakes, the mountains and the Bavarian border are all within an hour, so a single day can hold a city walk, an alpine lunch and a Christmas market.
  • Easy to reach. Salzburg Airport is 20 minutes from the centre; Munich Airport is two hours, and the train from Vienna takes two and a half. We collect groups at all three.
  • It photographs well. A UNESCO Old Town, a fortress, baroque squares — the internal newsletter writes itself.
  • Small groups feel private. Our vehicles carry up to 6 guests each; larger groups travel in a convoy or a minibus with the same guide, so a party of 40 still feels looked after rather than herded.

Corporate formats we run

1. Christmas market team outing (late November to 1 January)

Our most booked corporate day in winter. Hotel or office pickup, a guided walk through the Salzburger Christkindlmarkt, the illuminated Hellbrunn Palace market and, if you wish, the lakeside Advent in St. Gilgen or the Berchtesgaden market across the border. Glühwein and a reserved table for dinner are included. Half-day and full-day versions; from €850 per vehicle of up to 6 guests, with group pricing from 12 people.

2. Silent Night evening

The carol was written in Oberndorf, 20 minutes from the city. Between Christmas and Epiphany we take teams to the Silent Night Chapel, Arnsdorf and Hallein, then to a private dinner with a small choir or duo. Quiet, memorable, and the format that gets the most thank-you emails.

3. Winter incentive day: sleigh, salt mine or ice cave

For reward trips and management offsites: a horse-drawn sleigh ride in Filzmoos or Werfen (December to March), the Dürrnberg salt mine, or the Werfen ice caves and Hohenwerfen fortress in summer, combined with a mountain-hut lunch. Sleigh days from €780 per vehicle group.

4. Client entertainment: Porsche, helicopter, 007

When the guests are customers rather than colleagues: the Porsche museum and test-drive day, a helicopter flight over the Alps, or a James Bond themed day from our tailor-made tours. These are priced per programme; ask for the current rate card.

5. Conference add-ons

Partner and spouse programmes, half-day city walks between sessions, evening transfers to dinner venues, and airport shuttles for delegates. We work directly with your event agency or hotel concierge and invoice the company centrally.

What every corporate booking includes

  • One named coordinator from the first email to the day itself, reachable by phone and WhatsApp.
  • Licensed English- and German-speaking guides; other languages on request.
  • Private vehicles with hotel, office or airport pickup; convoy or minibus for larger groups.
  • Restaurant reservations and menu pre-selection, with dietary requirements handled in advance.
  • Entrance tickets bought ahead so the group never queues.
  • One invoice to the company, with VAT shown, and free cancellation up to 24 hours for standard tours.

Pricing and group sizes

Our day tours are priced per private vehicle, not per person: from €850 for up to 6 guests, which for a team of six is about €140 a head for a full day with guide, driver and pickup. Groups from 12 people receive a written group quote with a per-person rate that includes dinner and entrances. Ask us to hold a December date while you confirm internally.

How to book

  1. Send the date (or a window), the number of people, where you will be staying and the type of day you want via the form on our corporate events page.
  2. We reply within one working day with a proposed programme and a fixed price.
  3. You confirm; we book the restaurant and tickets and send one itinerary sheet for your team.

Christmas parties and Advent outings for December 2026 should be reserved by early November; restaurants in the Old Town fill up first.

Frequently asked questions

What is the largest group you can take?
Teams of up to 6 travel in one vehicle; larger groups travel in several vehicles or a partner minibus with the same guide. Tell us the number and we will confirm what works for the date.

Can you organise a Christmas party for our Salzburg office?
Yes. The usual format is a late-afternoon guided market walk, Glühwein, then a reserved dinner in the Old Town or at a mountain hut with transport back to the city.

Do you invoice companies and handle VAT?
Yes. One invoice to the company with Austrian VAT shown; payment by bank transfer or card.

Can the programme be adapted on the day?
Within reason, yes. Weather, a late flight or a meeting that runs over are normal; your coordinator reshuffles the day.

Which languages do your guides speak?
English and German; other languages on request with notice.
