Overview

We will do today a full day tour based on the sights to discover within and around the city. We will see some of the most iconical locations where the sound of music movie was filmed and discover combined with it the great history of this town Learn and see how much more that this area has to offer.

Let's enhance the city of Salzburg, with its faniscating old town, the nice history behind these buildings and why the city looks like it does. Discover why it is called the Rome of the north. Explore the influence of the church over centuries. Besides that you will immerse into the story of the sound of music and learn about the real von Trapp family.

Leaving the city boundries behind we will see the great landscape such as the lake district area, including the wedding church of the von Trapps in the movie before we will show you on the way back, the modern parts of this city.

On the second day we will show you more of the mountains surrounding this area: We will discover the nearby area of Hallein and Berchtesgaden with it's saltmines, also the location of the Obersalzberg, with it's history of the third reich and where Hitler used to have his summer residence. During the period between May until October you have the possibility to see the Hitler's eagle's nest, nowadays a mountain top restaurant and see why he fell in love with this area.

We will see the little town of Berchtesgaden, discover it's traditions, enjoy nature with crystal clear lakes bedded within some of the most spectacular mountains this area has to offer.

Enjoy a personal pickup in Munich, or Salzburg and enjoy a drive on a part of the german highways to the lake of Chiemsee.

Arriving at the lake we will go on a relaxing boat ride before we will start a nice smooth walk on the island of Herrenchiemsee. We will arrive at the most expensive and most opulent palace of King LudwigII. We will have a tour through the palace, a copy of the palac eof Versailles before we will take the boat back to the van and drive then through the bavarian countryside to your hotel in Salzburg.

- A private transfer-tour to or from Vienna:

Discover the lake district area of Salzburg and Upper Austria or just enjoy a smooth ride before we will get off the highway in Melk and taking you through the Wachau Valley, called the Austrian Danube Gorge. The Wachau valley is know for it's welcoming atmosphere with all the vineyards and lots of history to be discovered and learned. It is a very scenic area with legends, castles, vineyard and fun, as well as the perfect location to enjoy before the vibrating city of Vienna welcomes you.

During the drive you will discover many unexpected facts about Austria and will get already some insights of the town of Vienna before immersing into it.
