Our private Instagram photo tour of Salzburg is a 3-hour walk built around one question: where do the best pictures of this city come from, and at what time of day? Your guide knows the angles, keeps you ahead of the tour groups and takes the photos on your own phone or camera, so nobody in your party is missing from them. You also hear the story behind each place, because a picture is better when you know what is in it.
Good to know
- €300 for your private group of up to 6, about 3 hours. Only your party, no strangers in your pictures.
- Your guide photographs you on your own phone or camera. You go home with the pictures already on your device, nothing to wait for.
- Start time follows the light. Early morning gives you empty squares, the last hours before sunset give you the warm colour on the fortress. Tell us your date and we suggest the time.
- Advisor tip: bring one change of top or a scarf in your bag. It takes a minute and your photos do not all look like the same hour.
- Proposal, anniversary or family pictures: tell us beforehand and we plan the quiet spots for it.
- Mostly easy walking on cobblestones, plus the climb up the Kapuzinerberg. If someone in your party would rather skip the stairs, tell us and we plan around it.

Do you bring a professional photographer?
The standard tour is led by a local guide who photographs you on your own device. If you want a professional photographer with edited pictures, ask us and we quote it as an extra.
What is the best time of day for photos in Salzburg?
Before 9 in the morning for empty streets and soft light in Mirabell Gardens, or the last hours before sunset for the fortress. Midday in summer is the hardest light and the biggest crowd.
How much does the Instagram tour cost?
€300 for your private group of up to 6 guests, about 3 hours, guide included. The catacombs entry is paid on the spot.
What if it rains?
Salzburg has arcades, passageways and church interiors that photograph well in the rain, and wet cobblestones reflect the lights. We adjust the route. You can also move the tour to another day if we have the guide free.
Can we cancel?
Full refund up to 72 hours before the tour, 50% refund between 72 and 24 hours, no refund inside 24 hours.
