We had a great two days with Bernd exploring the spectacular Eagle's Nest and Lake District. He was knowledgeable, humorous, and as flexible as possible in responding to our request to reschedule days due to changes in the weather as well as reorganizing activities to optimize our time based on weather forecasts. Bernd was a fantastic tour guide who shared everything he had about the region on our way from Salzburg to Hallstatt. Hallstatt was as beautiful as the pictures you see on the internet. Bernd lead us to a great spot for lunch, a little out of the way so most tourists didn't know about it, the trout, which was caught right in Hallstatt lake was fantastic. We finished our day by taking the cable car all the way to the five fingers. Bernd was a great photographer too!

Bernd is an expert in all things Sound of Music, Hallstatt, Salzburg and Vienna! I did the Sound of Music and Hallstatt tour but I think he would have been an excellent guide on any tour of Austria. I enjoyed the in depth information he had-it was truly an insider's perspective. In Hallstatt-he showed me artifacts that many tourists rarely visited. He was very considerate, funny and the transportation was nice and comfortable! This was an amazing tour-well worth it. I highly recommend!

The best tour we had, simply cannot go wrong with beautiful Hallstatt and good weather. He helped me with my wheelchair-bound husband make it through Hallstatt's viewing areas (we managed well to get to the Catholic church with stair/steps - up on the hill) and the small but great Christmas market. Stopped by St. Wolfgang Village and its market on way back and we loved it, too. It was a fun-filled day with Bernd who was very knowledgeable, funny and such a joy to be with. We were laughing all the way!

I booked this tour so me and my husband wouldn't have to drive and we would have the time to relax and enjoy the sights and countryside together. Our guide Bernd was such a funny and informative guy. He really knows his stuff. We loved the fact we got out of the vehicle to learn more about the sights and the amazing nature and the history of wildlife. We saw tranquil lakes and very stunning villages. The bonus was because it is the end of the summer season we saw the lakes without the crowds! We would do this tour again next time we are in Austria!

My sister and I went on 2 fantastic tours with this company. Our first one was a full day trek of Hallstatt and the Lake District. It was amazing and we learned so much. Our tour guide Bernie was so informative and entertaining that we couldn't wait to book another. On our second tour, we went on a half-day walking tour where we were able to get up close and personal with many of the sites, people and get a deeper understanding of the culture.I also liked that the company took the time to contact us immediately to let us know that we would have a few slight changes in our schedule due to a festival that occurred in Salzburg. I love when companies make their clients a priority and make customer service a priority and they did just that!

Having only 1 day to see the sights and not wanting to drive (the sights in Salzburg are spread out) I was looking for the best way to see as much as possible. Be special Tours was the right answer. It is a small group tour (only 4 on our mini bus) and the guide was fabulous. He gave his history and made sure we understood the sights we were seeing and where the best photo shots should be taken. My trip was the city&lake district tour and we were able to hear the organs during the visit to the church. I definitely recommend this tour group if you are travelling through Salzburg.

We booked this tour through Trip Advisor about 3 weeks before we left for Salzburg. Not only was our tour guide, Bea, super knowledgeable and efficient, but she was fun, very personable and truly cared about us having a good time. We wanted to see Eagle's Nest and also do a toboggan run/Alpine slide. She recommended one in Hallein and that did NOT disappoint! Also, when we arrived in Salzburg, we wanted to see Hallstatt but came to realize getting there without having our own car was a bit of a chore for our group of 6. Since I already had booked a tour with B(e) Special Tours, I reached out to them to see if they could accommodate a last minute planned trip to Hallstatt (very last minute as I emailed them through Trip Advisor at 8 pm on Friday night to see if they could arrange a trip with us for Saturday morning at 10 am). Not only did I receive an email back within 15 minutes, but they were able to meet our request! Our trip to Hallstatt with Bea will be a lasting memory for our family. She even took us to her personal, super secret (NON touristy) place to have lunch - the BEST freshest grilled fish place ever (and we're from Washington state so we know our fish)! She also gave us a little lesson on how to properly enjoy schnapps and had us taste her personal favorite schnapps - which was spot on. Thank you, Bea!!!! You are truly the best! We HIGHLY recommend B(e) Special Tours.

This tour was excellent. Our guide was EXTREMELY knowledgeable and passionate about everything we did. Her knowledge of the area and hospitality was amazing. I was sad that our tour was only half day and if I ever go back will 100% book with this group and request her again. We wanted to see the Salt Mines but didn't have time so she dropped us off before getting back to our hotel and took my parents to a beautiful restaurant for lunch and suggested a few dishes before being on her way...again the hospitality and level of care was incredible.

We had a fantastic day with our guide, Bernie. It was great to spend a day cruising the sights outside of Salzburg in a nice car without crowds. Both the salt mines and eagles nest were amazing and fun but we also saw many other tucked away gems. This tour is a bit pricey for a small group but well worth it to set you own pace and itinerary.
