We really enjoyed our walking tour with Bernd. We are slower than average walkers and he didn't try to hurry us. He knows the history of Salzburg well and this came through during the tour. We asked a lot of questions about contemporary issues and he patiently answered them all. If we return to Salzburg, we would happily ask Bernd to show us more of the area. We highly recommend him as a guide.

Bernd was a great guide! He was very knowledgeable about the area as well as the Sound of Music trivia and backstory. He answered all of our questions. We were on a Viking River Cruise picked up in Passau and dropped off in Viselhofen to meet our Ship. He was easy to communicate with before the cruise and tailored our day to our desires. We would highly recommend him!

If I could give Bernd more than 5 stars I would! He was soooo knowlegeable; easy to be in touch with; and flexible. I hope EVERYONE has a chance to use his services. I was on a cycling trip prior to arriving in Salzburg. I plan to recommend him to the cycling company to have his name included in the list of recommended "Things to do in Salzburg" if one is interested in a private tour. Well worth every cent!!!

We loved our full day private tour of Salzburg and sleigh ride into the Alps. The views were spectacular and the authentic Austrian lunch at the top was fantastic! It was the highlight of our vacation. Our tour guide Bernd was very knowledgeable and made the day very special for us. Would definitely recommend Bernd and this tour.

Wow! What an amazing experience! The tour of Salzburg was absolutely delightful. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly, and we got to see all the iconic sights of this beautiful city. The transfer to the Saltmines and Kaprun was smooth, and we enjoyed every minute of it. The salt mines were unlike anything I've ever seen, and the views in Kaprun were postcard-perfect. Our tour of the Salzburg lake district (focusing on Hallstatt) was absolutely wonderful, and perhaps the best day of our two week long trip! Bernd was a wonderful guide--the ride was comfortable, he was very knowledgeable, and he had a specific plan for the day that he was open to changing if we had any specific requests. The town of Hallstatt was so picturesque, but we really enjoyed seeing some of the other towns and lakes that Bernd took us to.

Bernd was a wealth of knowledge on both Bavarian and Austrian history and culture, he was also very accommodating to the wishes of our group and the sights we wanted to see. He had all the gear we needed to survive a bit of rainy weather and we all enjoyed the day very much especially the lunch! We've been to Salzburg many times but have never had a tour until this trip. We booked Bernd for a three hour walking tour and were very pleased with the tour. Bernd is very knowledgeable and professional. He gave us a great overview and it was clear from his explanations that he has a great understanding of the history and culture of Salzburg and Austria. He never rushed the tour and the 3 hour tour turned into 3 1/2 hours. We would highly recommend Bernd.

Bernd was great with the Satzburg tour. He was informative, entertaining and just a pleasure to spend with during our four hour tour. We pasted a bakery that was making fresh rolls. We made a tour stop and Bernd went back and bought us delicious fresh baked with raisins rolls. What wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend Bernd for this tour.

Bernd was terrific. We enjoyed a half day walking tour that oriented us to Salzburg and its history. My 18 & 20 year old daughters thoroughly enjoyed the tour and were quickly chatting with Bernd as we made our way through the city. We saw many key sites, explored a Christmas market, visited Nonnberg Abbey, and learned about life in modern Salzburg. I would highly recommend any tour with Bernd!

The tour guide Bernd is a solid and enthusiastic professional in his field - knowledgeable, great sense of humour and he always goes the extra mile to ensure I have the insight/history of each place, best shots ... his warmth, passion and sincerity have been most impressive. Our Guide was outstanding. He drove us around, explained things to us in a funny and informative way about the major sights. He arrived on time and picked us up in the hotel lobby. He came in a new white van that had a glass roof. We enjoyed every bit of our experience very much and we had such a great time. We were taken back to our hotel after the outing - which was a good perk. Price was very reasonable and I'd recommend the service for every cent.

I cannot even describe to you how amazing our tours were with Bernd. We opted for private tours on two different days, and Bernd was beyond accommodating. One day it rained, Bernd changed the itinerary for the day on the spot for us and switched things around.Bernd knows all of the hidden gems, restaurants, view points, places, EVERYTHING. He's also extremely well known with the locals pretty much everywhere we went and that proves to be very helpful.Bernd picked us up and dropped us off in a Mercedes van was extremely comfortable. He is an excellent guide with a ton of knowledge, beyond friendly - we really enjoyed our tours with him, so much so that I would rate him as the BEST we've been with.He was also able to book us concert tickets in advance which is nice since some of the websites are difficult to navigate.

I've been wanting to visit Salzburg for more than a year and have not had the time because I couldn't plan. A short search and I found this tour company. I talked to them over the phone to confirm price and what the tour would be like. They were responsive and gave me detailed information of what the tour would entail - and I liked it. I scheduled and made payment. I was picked up at my hotel 2 days later in a comfortable tour bus and it was a pleasant experience from start to finish and the tour guide was a pleasant person and we talked all through the trip. B(e) tours kept to time and were always forthcoming with information about what was best for me. I was treated well and would have used them again if I was coming back, but I'm not sure about that.

our group of 4 only had one day to see the area as we stayed an extra day as part of a business trip. We wanted to see as much as possible so we booked a private tour with Be Special Bern was great in advance of the tour as he answered all of my questions quickly and provided suggestions based on what we would like to see and do. They had a nice sized van for us and a driver so that allowed us plenty of space inside the van. The weather was not great the day we went (rain) but we still had a great time. We started with a driving tour of the city to see all the main areas of interest in the city. We did not do the fortress as this is a walking tour with headphones so do this on your own to save time with the guides. After the city we went to a location where they shot many of the scenes from The Sound of Music (house and lake scenes) and then went to the summer castle of the archbishop. After this we did the salt mine tour which was fascinating and a lot of fun. We then toured the lake district and had lunch in one of the towns. We then got to see the Red Bull headquarters followed by a stop at Hangar 7 where the Red Bull owner keeps all of his "toys". After the Hangar we went on to another historical palace downtown and finished our day there. It was a lot to pack in the day but Be Special did a great job narrating and providing history of the area while customizing our tour. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a tour of the area.
