Passau and Linz are the Danube's gateways to Salzburg and the Alps — and river cruise guests have exactly one precious day to use them. The ship's group excursion means fifty people, a fixed route and a stopwatch. Ours means a private vehicle at the pier as you disembark, an English-speaking local guide, and a day built around what you want: Salzburg's old town, the emerald lakes of the Salzkammergut, or Berchtesgaden and the Eagle's Nest.
We plan every pier pickup around your ship's actual docking and departure times, with generous margins — being back on board comfortably early is part of the service, not a hope. Skip-the-line arrangements mean your hours ashore are spent seeing things, not queueing for them.

Will we make it back to the ship on time?
Yes — that worry is the reason to go private, not against it. We build the day backwards from your all-aboard time with a comfortable buffer, and your guide tracks the clock so you don't have to.
How far is Salzburg from the piers?
Roughly ninety minutes to two hours by road from either Passau or Linz — close enough for a full, relaxed Salzburg day between docking and departure.
Can two couples share a tour?
Perfectly — one group price covers up to six guests, so sharing the day roughly halves the cost per couple compared to two ship excursions.
