This tour explores the life and legacy of King Ludwig II, one of Europe's most controversial monarchs. Ascending to the throne at a young age, Ludwig II became the constitutional king of Bavaria. Some believe he was too young to rule, while others think his father inadequately prepared him for leadership. Ultimately, King Ludwig II retreated into his dream world, creating three of the most famous palaces and castles in Europe.

On this tour, we visit two of these iconic locations:

🔗Linderhof Palace: Nestled in the Bavarian mountains, Linderhof reflects King Ludwig’s admiration for the French kings of the 18th century. It is the only palace he lived to see completed.
🔗Neuschwanstein Castle: The most famous and emblematic castle built by King Ludwig, perched on a cliff and offers breathtaking views. Walt Disney modeled his Disney Castle after Neuschwanstein.

The third of his castles, 🔗Herrenchiemsee Palace, located on Lake Chiemsee, can be seen during our Herrenchiemsee tour.

We took this tour from Salzburg and it was a great one! We had a great experience between nature and this wonderful palace. The guide was very informative and was with us the whole time. We enjoyed the boat ride on the lake with the mountains in the background.Arriving on the island we had a nice walk through the nature to get to the palace. The foutains were jsut amazing. I have been to Versailles but this palace was way more and better than expected. The mirror room and the unfinished parts to see the comparison between the finished and the unfinished part was just amazing. On the way back the guide took us through the Bavarian countryside.
